Frills & Spills by Stumble Trip Theatre
An Absurd cabaret about privilege
Stumble Trip combine their ‘multiple skills, classic storytelling and madcap humour’ with extravagant costume, in a raucous show about power & privilege; FRILLS AND SPILLS.
You're invited to the absurd Edwardian inspired world of Frills and Spills. Fancy, farcical and frightfully frivolous they're here to delight, to excite and to cleanse your soul of it's daily dirt darling.
FRILLS AND SPILLS is a raucous mockery of privilege, exploring the habits & tactics of the reigning elite & how they preserve the status quo even to the modern day.
FRILLS AND SPILLS was performed in its first iteration at Brighton Spiegeltent, May 2019 and has since been supported by Arts Council of England, Shoreditch Town Hall, Camden Peoples Theatre and Wardrobe Theatre, allowing Stumble Trip Theatre to present the UK premiere of in Feb 2020 FRILLS AND SPILLS. Post pandemic the production made a return to Brighton Spiegeltent and Wardrobe Theatre.
Expect french fancies, petticoat sand power plays in this 'hour of excellently timed, infectiously funny, joyous clowning'. (A Younger Theatre)
